Building a Connection: Staff Lunch and Learns with Hygienists

Most orthodontic offices have a system in place so that the orthodontist meets with the general dentist on a regular basis. Building relationships directly between the doctors can be highly effective but overlooks a key piece of the referral process – the hygienists. If a general dentist gives several names when referring patients for orthodontic care, it is frequently the hygienist who subtly influences the patient’s decision as to whom to call.

Scheduling informal staff lunch meetings between a few of your staff and the hygienists of a referring office can have a HUGE impact on your referral program and does not require trying to coordinate with a doctor’s busy schedule. Natalie Beaton will review every step you can take to use this valuable program in your practice immediately and will share a checklist she developed for an article in the JCO. Natalie has helped many orthodontic offices immediately implement this highly successful program in their practices and will be delighted to do the same for your practice.

Dr. Roger P. Levin
Dr. Roger Levin - The 25 Reasons Your Referral Marketing Program Can Fail (and How to Avoid Them)

Referring doctors have always been a powerful source of referrals to orthodontic practices and remain so today. However, there are situations where the referral marketing program can fail.

Prominent business leaders throughout history have taught us that we learn more from our failures than our successes. In this informative new webinar, Dr. Roger P. Levin will reveal the 25 most common mistakes that orthodontic practices make when implementing referral marketing programs and most importantly, how to avoid them and significantly increase the number of annual referrals and starts.

Natalie Beaton
Natalie Beaton - A Fast Daily Review: Minimum Time and Maximum Results With a Morning or Evening Huddle That Matters to the Team

As we all know, time is one element that is frequently in short supply in an orthodontic office. Our society is processing information more quickly, and our daily huddles need to allow us to do the same. Whether your preference is a morning huddle to get the day started or an evening huddle to review the day, the information you need is the same. While gathering the information is essential the key is what speed you can get it done. There is no time to waste.

You want to gather critical daily information in key areas as fast as you can. You want to be able to interpret the data and then have a way to present that information to the group in a concise, cohesive, and fast summary. This will allow the entire team to be on the same page and ready to go or ready to finish the day. The meeting should move right along but contain the essential data to strengthen any areas that need attention or point out any scheduling concerns. Natalie will share her 30+ years of working exclusively with Ortho2 clients to review the best reports in Edge Cloud and ViewPoint and quickest ways to gather the information needed daily to have organized, targeted, and profitable days for your practice. These brief huddles with statistical nuggets will be of considerable importance throughout the year, and I can promise, no one will have time to be bored!
